Important information before you travel

Weather

Ladakh is a high-altitude desert with cold nights even in summer. Weather can change quickly, so carrying warm clothing in layers is recommended throughout the tour.

Transport

All sightseeing and inter-city travel is by private vehicle over mountain roads, including high passes such as Khardung La, as mentioned in the itinerary.

Documents Required for Travel

  • • Valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport or Voter ID)
  • • Warm clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen suited to high-altitude conditions
  • • Any prescribed medication carried in hand baggage
  • • Follow your tour manager's instructions regarding altitude acclimatisation
