Welcome to Kashmir! Your tour manager greets you in Srinagar and takes you to your houseboat on Dal Lake, where the water is quiet and the mountains frame the sky. As the sun sets, a slow shikara ride takes you past floating gardens and lotus beds, and dinner is included.

Flights or train connections to Srinagar are not included in the package. You may join the group in Srinagar on the first day of the tour. Please inform us of your arrival details so that we can arrange an airport pickup (if required) and houseboat check-in without issues. On your return, please book your departure on or after the Day 6 airport drop to avoid being rushed.

Weather

Kashmir’s weather changes with the season and the altitude, so the climate in Srinagar can feel very different from Gulmarg or Sonmarg. Spring and summer are pleasant in the day with cool evenings, autumn brings golden chinar leaves and crisp air, and winter is cold with snow in Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg. Pack light woolens and layers for most of the year, and heavy winter wear if you travel between December and February. A light rain jacket, sunglasses and sunscreen are useful in any season. Transport

All sightseeing and intercity travel is covered by comfortable road transport as mentioned in the itinerary, and Srinagar airport transfers are included. As this is a group tour, you travel together with your tour manager. Mountain roads in Kashmir are winding, so travel times can change with weather and traffic. Scenic photo stops are made along the way wherever the schedule allows.
