Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy explains the rules, timelines, charges, and conditions applicable when a booking made with Honor Tour & Travels is cancelled, modified, postponed, or not utilized.

At Honor Tour & Travels, all cancellations are governed by the nature of the booking, the travel date, the destination, the supplier’s rules, and the stage at which the cancellation request is made. By making any booking or payment with us, you agree to this Cancellation Policy along with our Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy.

1. General Cancellation Rule

Any booking cancellation must be submitted in writing through email, WhatsApp, or any other official communication channel recognized by Honor Tour & Travels. Verbal cancellation requests over phone or informal messages without acknowledgement shall not be treated as valid cancellation requests.

The effective date of cancellation shall be the date on which the written request is actually received and acknowledged by us. Cancellation charges, supplier deductions, and refund eligibility, if any, shall be calculated from that date.

2. Booking Components Covered

This policy applies to all travel-related services arranged by Honor Tour & Travels, including but not limited to:

  • Domestic and international tour packages
  • Hotel and houseboat bookings
  • Transport and transfer services
  • Sightseeing and activity bookings
  • Custom itineraries and holiday packages
  • Pilgrimage tours and seasonal packages
  • Visa assistance, permits, and documentation support
  • Ticketed travel services booked through third-party providers

3. Cancellation by Customer

Where the customer cancels a confirmed booking, cancellation charges shall apply depending on the booking type, travel season, supplier policy, and actual expenses already incurred by Honor Tour & Travels or the relevant service provider.

Any amount paid toward blocked inventory, confirmed hotel reservations, transport booking, permit application, visa handling, peak-season commitments, promotional deals, last-minute inventory, or non-refundable third-party services may be wholly or partly non-refundable.

4. Indicative Cancellation Charges

Unless otherwise specified in writing for a particular package or supplier booking, cancellation charges may be applied broadly as follows:

  • Cancellation immediately after confirmation: administrative and processing charges may apply.
  • Cancellation after supplier confirmation: actual supplier retention plus service charges may apply.
  • Cancellation close to departure: high retention or full cancellation charges may apply.
  • Cancellation during peak season, festive period, special departure, or non-refundable tariff: up to 100% cancellation may apply.
  • Cancellation after commencement of trip or no-show: ordinarily 100% cancellation charges shall apply.

These slabs are illustrative in nature. The final cancellation amount shall depend on the actual supplier rules, package conditions, and losses incurred at the time of cancellation.

5. Non-Refundable and High-Retention Components

The following components are commonly non-refundable or subject to strict retention, depending on the booking:

  • Advance token amount paid to secure a package or departure slot
  • Non-refundable hotel or resort bookings
  • Houseboat bookings in peak season
  • Flight, train, bus, or other ticketed bookings
  • Permit, documentation, courier, and visa processing charges
  • Convenience fees, gateway charges, and service fees
  • Special package discounts, festive offers, and flash deals
  • Custom arrangements made specifically on customer request

6. Cancellation of Unconfirmed or Tentative Bookings

In the case of tentative or provisional bookings, any refund or deduction shall depend upon whether inventory was blocked, third-party commitment was created, consultation work was performed, or payment gateway and administrative charges were incurred. Even where final travel does not proceed, certain charges may still apply.

7. Amendment Treated as Cancellation

Requests for major changes, including change of destination, travel dates, hotel category, itinerary structure, transport type, or traveller names, may be treated as cancellation of the original booking and a fresh booking of the revised request. In such cases, cancellation charges on the original booking and revised pricing on the new booking may both apply.

Honor Tour & Travels is under no obligation to accept any modification request, and all such requests remain subject to feasibility and supplier approval.

8. No-Show, Late Reporting and Unused Services

If the customer fails to report on time, misses a departure, arrives late, does not check in, fails to carry required documents, voluntarily skips sightseeing, leaves the trip midway, or chooses not to avail any part of the booked service, the same may be treated as a no-show or unutilized service.

In such cases, no cancellation relief or refund shall ordinarily be available, and up to 100% cancellation charges may apply.

9. Cancellation Due to Documentation or Visa Issues

If travel cannot proceed because of invalid documents, incorrect traveller details, expired identification, passport issues, visa rejection, permit denial, or non-compliance with authority requirements, the booking shall still be treated under the normal cancellation rules applicable at that stage. Honor Tour & Travels shall not be liable for losses arising from such situations.

10. Cancellation by Supplier or Third Party

Where a hotel, airline, vehicle operator, guide, local vendor, or other third-party supplier cancels or fails to deliver any booked service, the customer’s remedy, if any, shall be limited to the extent of the relief or refund actually provided by that supplier, after deduction of our own non-recoverable charges and service costs where applicable.

Honor Tour & Travels shall not be liable for paying compensation beyond the amount recoverable from the relevant supplier.

11. Force Majeure and Exceptional Situations

Cancellations or disruptions arising from events beyond our control, including but not limited to snowfall, landslides, flood, earthquake, avalanche, bad weather, transport shutdown, curfew, epidemic, pandemic, war, civil unrest, political issues, terrorism, government restrictions, route closure, permit suspension, or any similar force majeure event, shall not entitle the customer to any assured full refund.

In such situations, cancellation, postponement, travel credit, adjustment, or alternate arrangement may be considered only to the extent reasonably possible and only subject to supplier recoveries and operational feasibility.

12. Cancellation After Trip Commencement

Once the trip has commenced, any cancellation, early departure, unused hotel night, skipped meal, missed transfer, dropped sightseeing, or interruption for personal reasons shall ordinarily attract 100% cancellation of the affected service component. No refund or adjustment shall be due unless expressly approved by us in writing and supported by actual supplier recovery.

13. Group Bookings

Group bookings may attract separate cancellation conditions. Cancellation by one or more travellers in a group may affect the package cost, room sharing, transport allocation, and overall pricing for the remaining travellers. Additional charges, repricing, or altered per-person cost may therefore apply.

14. Festival, Peak Season and Special Departure Bookings

Bookings made during festive periods, holiday windows, school vacation periods, long weekends, peak tourist season, or for fixed-departure/special event packages may carry stricter cancellation terms, including very high retention or complete non-refundability. Such rules may apply irrespective of the general policy stated on this page.

15. Refund After Cancellation

Any refund arising after cancellation shall be processed strictly in accordance with our Refund Policy and only after deduction of supplier cancellation, administrative charges, payment gateway costs, service fees, taxes, and all other non-recoverable expenses. Cancellation approval does not automatically mean full or partial refund entitlement.

16. Fraudulent, Abusive or Duplicate Claims

Honor Tour & Travels reserves the right to reject any cancellation or related claim that is found to be abusive, misleading, duplicated, fraudulent, chargeback-driven, or unsupported by facts. In such situations, we also reserve the right to suspend further service, contest the claim, and recover losses and legal expenses where applicable.

17. Relationship with Other Policies

This Cancellation Policy must be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, package-specific rules, quotation terms, and any supplier-specific booking conditions communicated at the time of booking. In the event of any inconsistency, the more specific condition applicable to the concerned service shall prevail.

18. Right to Amend Policy

Honor Tour & Travels reserves the right to revise, modify, update, or replace this Cancellation Policy at any time without prior notice. The latest version published on the website shall apply from the date of publication.
